The political media is infamous for enabling an openly hostile, lying, amoral grifter like Donald Trump to command their attention almost uninterrupted throughout all of 2015 and 2016. Their contribution to the narrative of that race amounts to a massive unreported in-kind donation to the Trump campaign.

And the lessons that they supposedly learned, following all of the ridiculous mea culpas and endless navel-gazing analysis, have been dutifully ignored.

But thankfully, more folks have gotten wise to this both-sides, whitewashing, fawning coverage of some of the worst people to ever to hold or seek power in America.

Take a recent profile of Lauren Boebert in Politico, for example. Contrast that utter nonsense with Boebert's unprincipled and unjustified drive to impeach President Biden just one week after that credulous story dropped:

Oh for real? Lauren Boebert ditches "the MAGA thing" in Colorado? There isn't a soul in Colorado who believes that.

Boebert hasn't changed a thing about herself or her approach to being a Member of Congress. The only thing that's changed is the media's willingness to publish totally absurd stories about her in pursuit of clicks and ad revenue.

The point is this: if we are not in this fight, Boebert would be allowed to rewrite history and remake her image almost unimpeded. Together, we can call this out for the false propaganda that it is and can effectively counter this nonsense.
