Happy Hispanic Heritage Month! 

More than 1 in 10 Delawareans are Hispanic, and Delaware’s diversity is one of our greatest strengths. We’re home to people from so many different backgrounds, and when we work together across differences, we’re at our best. It sparks innovation and creativity, and new ideas are brought to life. 

Every day, President Biden, Vice President Harris, and Delaware Democrats continue building on the historic results they’ve delivered for Hispanic communities in Delaware and across the country, including historically low unemployment for Hispanic Americans, better access to affordable health care, thousands of new Hispanic-owned small businesses, and more. 

But MAGA Republicans’ extreme agenda threatens to put this all at risk. They’re pushing tax cuts for the ultra-wealthy, cruel immigration policies, and higher health care costs for working families. So much is at stake. 

My pledge to you this month is that we will fight for you. Delaware Democrats will continue fighting for Hispanic communities across Delaware and working to reelect President Biden and Vice President Harris to safeguard the progress we’ve made.

And I invite you to join me, to reflect on what each of us can do to fight for the diversity that we love.  To make sure that Delaware remains a place where everyone is welcome, and where anyone can thrive.
