🗣Say it with me, John: Hey hey, ho ho! This corporate greed has got to go!

When working families are under attack, we have to stand up and fight back – which is exactly what I did on Friday, joining UAW Local 2177 on the picket line as part of their strike against the Big 3 automakers.

Something those workers said that really stuck with me was, “They got a bailout while we got sold out.” As President Biden pointed out yesterday, the UAW made huge concessions to save the auto industry when it was going under. Now that it's roaring back, workers deserve to benefit – not just the executives.

The best way for workers to get a fair deal for their labor has been and will always be through the awesome power of a union. To protect that right, we need to pass the Richard Trumka PRO Act, which would strengthen and modernize our laws to support workers who want to unionize.

But under a Republican-controlled House, the PRO Act will never reach the floor for a vote. Too many of them are beholden to the corporate donors who line their campaign coffers. That's why – unlike our current congressman, Brian Fitzpatrick – I don't take a CENT from corporate PACs.

Of course, this means I'm counting on working folks to build this campaign one $10 donation at a time. I've got a big end-of-quarter deadline in just 4 days, so I'd appreciate it if you could pitch in your first donation of $10 or whatever you can afford.
