Lake Ogallala fishery to be renovated this fall
Nebraska Game and Parks has announced plans for a fall renovation of the Lake Ogallala fishery, due to deteriorated aquatic habitat conditions and declining sportfish populations. To ensure safety, some temporary closures will be implemented.

Fall drawdowns and closures to be aware of
Be aware of the status of your favorite water body, as fall drawdowns and closures are taking place in several locations:
* Visitors to Johnson Lake State Recreation Area will notice the?lowering of the lake level [ [link removed] ]?this fall.
* The Sutherland Canal in between Lake Ogallala, Sutherland Reservoir and Lake Maloney?will be drained [ [link removed] ]?to conduct maintenance and inspection activities.
* The access road through Davis Creek Recreation Area will close beginning Oct. 1 [ [link removed] ] for a paving project.
