John,

This month, our Government Affairs Team made strides to stop the
construction of a larger, more expensive jail in Fulton County, Georgia.
Conditions at the existing Fulton County Jail are so deplorable that the
U.S. Department of Justice has launched an investigation. Nearly two dozen
deaths have raised alarming concerns over unsanitary conditions, excessive
force and violence, discrimination against individuals with mental health
issues, and failure to provide medical care.^1

That’s why Color Of Change called on Fulton County District Attorney Fani
Willis to end this humanitarian crisis by assigning more prosecutors to
resolve cases and focus on those incarcerated over high-profile
indictments.

[ [link removed] ]If you believe that DA Willis and prosecutors across the country must
ensure a more equitable and transparent criminal justice system, will you
donate $15 or more to support Color Of Change and our calls for
accountability?

Hear from the team working to demand that DA Willis prioritize the
humanity of those inside the Fulton County Jail over high-profile
indictments.

“We can applaud [DA] Willis for her work on the Trump case. However, we
cannot gloss over how her prioritization of high-profile cases has
seemed to only worsen the conditions for Black and low-income people
navigating Fulton County’s broken criminal legal system.”

[ [link removed] ]Color Of Change is committed to winning justice for Black people and
their families, but we need your help! That’s why we’re asking you to
donate $15 or more today so that our calls for accountability aren’t
ignored. If you believe our work is critical, please donate today.

A justice system that is safest for Black people looks nothing like the
proposed Fulton County Jail. As we work together to create a more human
and less hostile world for Black people in America, we must also demand a
justice system that emphasizes freedom over detention and care over
punishment.

Until Justice Is Real,

The Color Of Change Digital Fundraising Team
