The far Right extremist wing of the House GOP—led by the likes of Marjorie Taylor Greene, Lauren Boebert, Matt Gaetz, and Donald Trump’s favorite lackey Jim Jordan—is now fully in charge of one chamber of Congress.
And now that Jim Jordan is calling the shots, he is working hard to do Trump’s bidding and hold the entire federal government hostage to sabotage Special Counsel Jack Smith’s criminal cases against Trump.
Trump openly called for a government shutdown and for a budget that defunds Jack Smith’s team—and Jim Jordan eagerly answered that call, demanding that House Republicans only pass a spending bill that defunds “this Jack Smith operation going after” Donald Trump.
Oops! You said the quiet part out loud there, Jim!
Jordan and the rest of the unhinged insurrectionist caucus will stop at nothing to prevent Trump and the rest of the January 6 rioters from ever seeing justice. Whether it is meddling with Fani Willis’ criminal case against Trump, Rudy Giuliani and the rest, or seeking to shut down the entire federal government to obstruct justice, Jim Jordan is acting like a low-level mob boss with nothing left to lose.
We cannot allow Jordan and Trump to destroy our government, defund nonpartisan criminal investigations, and thwart justice any longer.
