Even if you don’t live in those areas, this is a fun and delicious opportunity to treat someone who does — and ensure access to the voting booth for North Carolinians! Supporters from anywhere can designate a recipient in the delivery zone or gift their cupcakes to first responders.

Earlier this year, the North Carolina Supreme Court reinstated a restrictive voter ID law that had previously been deemed unconstitutional due to racial bias. This will impact all voters, but especially low-income voters, young voters, and Black voters. VoteRiders has increased our outreach and one-on-one help to North Carolinians who now need an ID or risk not being able to vote this November and in the presidential election next year.

Additional staff, volunteer events, materials, and direct fees are necessary to ensure that every voter has the information and free help they need. But it does add up. Bake Back Better is here to help: They’ve pledged to raise $10,000 for our work in North Carolina.
