I’m in California today, preparing for tomorrow’s debate, and it’s really hit me.
I’m so blessed to be an American. I’m so blessed to run for president and work for you.

I don’t come from much. I grew up in a single-parent household, mired in poverty.
But my family taught me about the power of prayer. They taught me there is dignity in all work. My family taught me to have faith in God, faith in myself, and faith in America.
My family’s story is the story of the American Dream. My family went from picking cotton to serving in Congress in my grandfather’s lifetime because ANYTHING is possible in America.
Now, I’m working to restore hope in the country that’s given me so much. I’m working to create new opportunities for every American. I’m working to protect the America we all know and love.
Of course, I’m working to make my mama proud. And tomorrow on the debate stage, I hope I make you proud too!
I’ve got a LOT to say tomorrow. But I will never lose sight of where I came from, who’s supporting me, and where we can go if we work together.
