Hi John,
John, did you get my last email? I got in touch last weekend because we have a big opportunity to push for action on the climate emergency this year, and we need help from people like you to make the most of it.
The COP26 UN climate summit’ will be happening in Glasgow in November. We’ve seen inspirational action on climate change across civil society over the last few years and now’s our chance to come together and make a stand in front of decision makers.
Corporations make a massive contribution to climate change, having the kind of power that lets them pursue their interests without a care for people and the planet. Can you donate to make sure we can mobilise people to call out corporate power at COP26 and push for radical change?
Yes, I’ll donate today ([link removed])
We need the backing of people like you to help us mobilise thousands of people to be in Glasgow for COP26. With your help we’ll be able to work with our allies to make this happen. We’ll also be able to hold events in the run-up to the talks to prepare and encourage people to take action. And while the talks are happening, your backing will help us to raise awareness of how people around the world, and especially in the global south, are affected by climate change.
Thank you for all you do for our campaigns.
Liz Murray,
Head of Scottish campaigns at Global Justice Now
PS. If you’ve already donated, thank you for your support. We wouldn’t be able to mobilise like this without people like you.

Hi John,
Without a doubt this has to be the year for meaningful action to respond to the climate breakdown. With global temperatures soaring, wildfires raging, floods and the Arctic melting, the climate crisis has become impossible to deny.
In November this year the UN climate talks for world leaders (COP26) will be happening in Glasgow. This is a huge opportunity for us to mobilise to demand an end to an economic system based on corporate greed, which is deepening inequality and threatening our very existence.
As people who care about the climate, now more than ever we need to make the most of this opportunity to get our voice heard so that concrete change happens.
Would you consider donating
£3
today to help us organise a people-powered movement to push for change at COP26?
Yes, I’ll help mobilise for the UN climate talks ([link removed])
** We need to take on corporate power to tackle the climate crisis
------------------------------------------------------------
For decades, governments have put the interests of big business first, handing them huge amounts of power. This means corporations can exploit resources like fossil fuels without considering people and the planet, driving the climate crisis. It’s clear that we need drastic change.
COP26 will give us a platform, the public awareness and media interest to get our message across and to engage with governments to push for radical change. But we’re up against a powerful lobby.
We know corporations spend millions on trying to influence, control or block policies that could tackle climate change. Our voice has to be louder. Can you donate to help us mobilise thousands in the run up to and at COP26?
Yes, I'll donate ([link removed])
** How you can make a difference
------------------------------------------------------------
Last year we saw a huge amount of people taking action to put the climate crisis in the spotlight. By donating today, you can help us concentrate that energy around COP26. With your backing we can gain as much public support as we can to have the greatest possible impact on decision makers in the run up to COP26.
We can make sure world leaders hear our demand that if we want to address climate change we have to tackle corporate power. With your donation we could hold workshops and events across the country to engage new people and expose the role of corporations in the climate crisis.
Thank you for all that you do to support our campaigns,
