Mitch McConnell and his GOP cronies got what they wanted: Dave McCormick — a mega-millionaire hedge fund guy who can spend HUGE sums of his own money and self-fund this race — jumped in the race to beat Bob Casey + flip PA's Senate seat red.
The biggest mistake grassroots Democrats can make right now is to sit by and think that Pennsylvania is a safe blue state. Personally, I sure can't forget that Donald Trump won the Commonwealth on Election Night in 2016.
National Republicans are getting ready to spend potentially more than EVER before to flip Pennsylvania red in 2024.
As someone who's spent nearly half a century electing Democrats and winning tough elections across the country, including in the Keystone State, let me assure you: Pennsylvania is as competitive a battleground as it ever was.
Seriously — I'm worried folks don't realize just how bad we need to gin up major grassroots resources to fight back tooth and nail in Pennsylvania.
Mitch McConnell and his cronies are already promising to spend whatever it takes to defeat Bob Casey. The fact is, if we don't rally for Bob RIGHT NOW, we're toast. And truthfully, I think we need to see a LOT more grassroots donations than we have since McCormick launched his campaign.
