As you know, my good friend Rep. Colin Allred is running to replace Ted Cruz in the U.S. Senate, and the choice between the two of them could not be more clear.
Colin is liked and respected on both sides of the aisle. He shows up for his constituents. He connects with his colleagues. He works hard to find common ground and get things done.
Colin is proud of Texas and Texans. Last week, we celebrated together the confirmation of San Antonio native and respected Air Force Chief of Staff General Charles “CQ” Brown as chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Senator Cruz voted against him.
Colin is committed to our democracy. He is leading efforts to restore the Voting Rights Act and ensure equal access to the ballot box for all Americans.
I know Colin will deliver better, stronger leadership for Texans in the Senate—the kind of leadership he’s delivered in the House, the kind of leadership we deserve. But he needs our help to do it.
The next FEC reporting deadline is approaching, and it’s an important fundraising benchmark for Colin’s campaign, just like it is for ours. A strong report will show we are building the teams we need to turn out the vote in Texas and send a Senator to Washington we can all be proud of.
You can help! Will you make a contribution that will be split between Colin’s campaign and mine before the deadline on September 30?
Together, we can do anything,
