USCCB Alert: Adequately fund WIC

All families in need must have access to life-saving nutrition and health services. As the Senate puts together a short-term funding measure (“continuing resolution”), please take action on a USCCB alert to remind them to include adequate funding for the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC). Without additional WIC funding in the continuing resolution, some states will not have enough funds to continue current operations and may have to resort to waiting lists for the first time in decades. An estimated 600,000 mothers and children could be turned away when they seek aid. Act now to remind our Senators that we can and must do more to protect and care for both women and their children.

Take Action Now!
