Dear Mr. xxxxxx,
I wanted to pass along my latest update on what I have been doing to fight for you, Texas’ 21st Congressional district, and our country as a whole:
This. Gets. Fixed.
I represent 750,000 Texans who are done with the chaos spilling over our border. On a daily basis, constituents ask me, “What will you do to secure the border?” And here’s my line in the sand: No border security? No funding.
The ongoing catastrophe along our southern border is not going away. So regardless of what my colleagues want to do in terms of how we are going to fund the government… This. Gets. Fixed. I won't budge.
No more blank checks for Ukraine
The American people deserve to know what their money has gone to, yet the Biden administration refuses to answer basic questions about the war in Ukraine. Congress has not even received answers from the president to common sense questions like: what is our strategy? What defines victory? Are we any closer to “victory” than six months ago?
That’s why Senator J.D. Vance and I led 6 senators and 23 House lawmakers in a letter to the White House saying “NO” to any further Ukraine funding. We cannot continue to give a blank check to Ukraine without dealing with what we need to do here at home first.
Confronting Merrick Garland
Why should we fund a government at war with the people it represents? Biden’s Department of Justice continues to shamelessly go after everyday Americans. One of the most notable instances was when Attorney General Merrick Garland labeled a parent who stood up for his daughter in a school board meeting a “domestic terrorist.” This is despicable – why are we giving taxpayer dollars to agencies that will stop at nothing to hurt the very people they're meant to protect?
Here are some other news stories about what I’ve been up to lately:
