Here’s the honest truth, folks: My team and I are going to be sending you a few more emails than normal this week.

I know ... I’m sorry. It’s not ideal for us either. But that’s why I’m reaching out now—to give you a heads up.

You see, this Saturday at midnight marks our campaign’s most important fundraising deadline to date.

Soon, we’ll be required to turn over a financial report to the Federal Election Commission. And then, we’ll have Democrats, Republicans, and pundits all across the map looking to see how we stack up with our self-funded, multi-millionaire opponent who has seemingly limitless resources.

It’s well-known that we have the most support in this race. But if we don’t have the cash to compete with our uber-wealthy opponent, then we could be drowned out and forgotten at a time when we need to be spreading our message to every Maryland voter.

Unfortunately, that means a few more emails than normal to make sure we’re giving our supporters every possible opportunity to support our campaign before Saturday’s deadline.
