Summary: As mentioned in a May 12, 2023, eList announcement, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services will end the exception that allowed DHS to pay PCA provider agencies for services provided by spouses and parents (including stepparents and legal guardians) of minors.

Survey closes: Oct. 22, 2023

Summary:?DHS wants feedback from service providers, including direct caregivers, about online positive supports training resources. The service provider survey is anonymous and will take about 10 to 15 minutes to finish. Feedback from the survey will help DHS prioritize topics for training content during the coming year.

Audience: Lead agencies, customized living providers and other interested parties

Application period:?Sept. 1 to 30, 2023

Summary:?The Minnesota Legislature approved a rate floor adjustment (or minimum daily rate) for customized living providers that are designated as disproportionate share facilities. Facilities must apply before Sept. 30, 2023, to get the designation and the adjustment. Currently designated disproportionate share facilities must apply each year because eligibility is determined annually.

Summary: If a case manager works with a person on the Brain Injury, Community Alternative Care, Community Access for Disability Inclusion or Developmental Disabilities waiver, they must complete the course ?Supporting A Person?s Move: A Case Manager?s Role.? This course is an online, on-demand course for disability waiver case managers to guide them through their role and responsibilities in supporting a person to find a new home.
