Friend,
Election Day isn’t just on Tuesday, November 7th this year — for many voters, Election Day is happening right now because Vote by Mail ballots are now arriving.
That means it’s time for all Democrats to get your ballot returned as soon as possible and bank your vote now to help us protect our majorities in the Legislature and continue delivering the kind of leadership and progress that the people of New Jersey deserve.
# [#]I’m so proud of everything we’ve accomplished to make New Jersey stronger and fairer, but none of it would have been possible without strong Democratic majorities in Trenton. Working together with our Democratic state legislators, we’ve delivered the greatest property tax relief for the middle class in state history, invested more in our public schools, protected abortion rights against Republican attacks, and much more.
We can’t let the extreme MAGA Republicans running for office take us backwards and erase that progress — make no mistake, that is what's at stake in this year’s election, and it’s up to us to vote for Democrats who will stand up for our rights and our values.
Voting by Mail is safe, easy, and secure thanks to the pro-democracy reforms we’ve put in place through the work of Lt. Governor and Secretary of State Tahesha Way. If you’ve already received your ballot and are on the permanent Vote by Mail list, it’s as simple as:
1. Fill in the circles on the ballot in blue or black ink for your full Democratic slate of candidates, starting with your State Senate and Assembly candidates and then down to your county and local representatives.
2. Place the ballot into the inner envelope and seal it. Make sure all your information is correctly filled in and sign your full name.
3. Place the inner envelope into the outer envelope and seal it. Then drop it in the mail (no postage required) or bring it to a convenient Secure Ballot Dropbox. Find your local dropboxes here! [[link removed]]
4. Once your ballot has been mailed, check its status here to make sure that your vote is counted. [[link removed]]
If you have not yet signed up for Vote by Mail, you can do so by filling out a Vote by Mail application for your county here [[link removed]] , and then send it back to your County Clerk’s Office before October 31.
Not currently registered to vote? We’ve made it easier than ever to register by offering online voter registration [[link removed]] . Register before the deadline on October 17 to make sure your voice is heard.
If you’re not on the Vote by Mail list and prefer to vote in person, we have plenty of options there as well! Early in-person voting will begin across the state on October 28 and continue until November 5. A full list of early voting sites by county is available here [[link removed]] . And of course, local polling places will be open from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 7th.
We can’t afford for you to sit this election out — there is just too much at stake and New Jersey’s future depends on Democrats turning out and helping our candidates win. Make sure your vote is counted, and sign up here to volunteer to help elect Democrats. [[link removed]]
