Boomers are still the most politically active voting bloc, as they outpace other generations in voter registration and voter turnout. But the Millennial generation is a sleeping giant that could soon reshape American politics, if they are given a compelling reason to get more engaged in the political process.
No Labels is working to get on ballots nationwide because we believe we could provide a choice that actually excites and motivates American voters in 2024.
Last week, Pew released a huge study on how Americans feel about our politics. It was about as dispiriting as you’d expect, with 86 percent saying, “Republicans and Democrats are more focused on fighting each other than on solving problems,” and 63 percent saying they are “dissatisfied” with the presidential candidates who have emerged so far.
Right now, the growing share of political independents in America mostly feel beaten down. They’re less likely to vote than their partisan counterparts and less likely to believe their vote matters.
That’s unlikely to change if they’re presented with a rematch of the 2020 election, and the scorched earth campaign we all know would come along with it.
Over a year’s worth of No Labels polling has revealed an unprecedented appetite for another choice in 2024, as well as the kind of candidate that could light a fire under these disaffected voters. Voters open to voting for a No Labels ticket are overwhelmingly looking for a candidate they trust, with strong character and a strategy for governing, and those traits matter much more to them than a candidates’ policy commitments or perceived electability.
So much of the skepticism around No Labels’ 2024 strategy is based upon the assumption that America’s political future is destined to look like our recent political past. But a rising generation of American voters is up for grabs and looking for someone, or something, to offer them something better.
Let's awaken this up-for-grabs generation and build a brighter, political future. The only way we can do this is with your help. Stand with us today and help No Labels 2024 reach our critical end-of-quarter goal by pitching in $5, $25, or even $50.
