Each

activity features two scholars who provide responses to questions from different points of view, and a graphic organizer to help students compare and analyze those arguments. The activity questions include if the U.S. Constitution is a pro-slavery document and if the New Deal ended the Great Depression.

Slavery and the Founding , offers lessons that explore the role of slavery in the founding of the United States. Through a combination of primary source analysis and discussion prompts, students can consider the paradox of how slavery became entrenched in a country founded upon liberty and equality.

This resource also discusses topics like post-Revolutionary War emancipation and entrenchment, whether the U.S. Constitution was a pro-slavery or anti-slavery document, and how the endurance of slavery challenged the early American republic.

The United States historically has ongoing debates over how much federal regulation of large corporations should exist to ensure &ldquo;fair&rdquo; competition within the technology industry.
