Amazing Range Of Events During Our Festival Of Resistance - Join Us in Manchester To Protest The Tory Party Conference

FESTIVAL OF RESISTANCE
Sat 30th Sept - Tue eve 3rd Oct

NATIONAL DEMONSTRATION
Sun 1st Oct

As the government currently in power, it's important we collectively protest the Tory Party Conference this October. We cannot let them and their vicious, corrupt, cruel, destructive and oppressive rule go unopposed. We will continue to hold to account and resist any government that does not act in the interests of the many ordinary people everywhere.

We have therefore organised an exciting range of anti-Tory events from Sat 30/9 to Tue Eve on 3/10. This includes the National Demonstration on Sunday 1/10. We'll have protest, political panels with discussion, great speakers, solidarity support, music, theatre, poetry, protest and much more. We have also included solidarity support for strikes during this time.

Many of these events (BUT not all!) will be in a marquee we'll have in Piccadilly Gardens for the duration of the Tory Party conference. See graphic above for an overview of everything, but for more detailed information about the events, scroll down.

We'll have art in the marquee in Piccadilly Gardens from Andrew Swan called, 'STINKING RICH: The Cost Of Wealth.' This explores the impact extreme wealth is having on our local communities and environment.

The 'Hell Bus' will be coming to town too and will be parked on St Annes Square during the Tory Conference. The bus has great exhibitions with interactive installations. These satirise the oil and gas companies attempts to 'greenwash' their companies and convince the world they have good environmental policies and intentions.

We need to make the Demonstration on Sunday 1st October HUGE - Join Us!

As an organised mass movement coming together in solidarity, strength and unity,  we are powerful. We can show the government and their ruling class backers that we refuse to accept their austerity, profiteering, destruction, inequality, division and hate.

So come together with campaigners, trade unionists, social and climate justice activists, and many more. We will march from All Saints Park to Castlefield Bowl where we'll hear from a range of key figures from the trade union and campaign movement. This includes Mick Lynch (RMT General Secretary), Daniel Kebede (NEU General Secretary), Fran Heathcote (PCS President),  Lindsey German Stop The War Coalition Convenor, Kate Hudson CND General Secretary, Chantelle Lunt, Merseyside BLM, Ellen Clifford DPAC - as well as many more from campaigns such as anti racism, NHS, climate justice and more...

There is an accessible shorter march from The Britons Protection pub. So join us there if this is best for you.
