How will I know when I’ve crossed over from being a manager to a leader?” he wanted to know.
I didn’t have a ready answer, and it’s a complicated issue, so we decided to talk the next day. I thought long and hard, and came up with three tests that will help you decide if you’ve made the shift from managing people to leading them.

WorkWorkThe Biden administration bet big on industrial policies. Experts warn it may not pay off \"We\'re seeing a barrage of regulations coming out of Washington and sometimes they\'re inconsistent, they\'re duplicative, but all of them are extraordinarily expensive,\" said Jay Timmons, president of the National Association of Manufacturers. \"Many of our manufacturing members report that they\'re regulated by four or more agencies of the federal government, sometimes with conflicting advice and conflicting regulations. And that simply is a deterrent for investment and job creation here in the U.S.\"

WorkWorkWorkWorkFlorida's coastal homes may lose value as climate-fueled storms intensify insurance risk According to Peltier, Citizens has a number of backstops to keep itself solvent. First, he said, if the state-created nonprofit goes through its premium-driven surplus, like all other insurers in the state it has access to the Florida hurricane catastrophe fund. It also purchases reinsurance to cover the possibility that the catastrophe fund is exhausted. Finally, Peltier said, Citizens is required by law to levy assessments on policyholders to make up any deficits. WorkOn Day 146, Screenwriters Reach Deal With Studios to End Their Strike Prominent members of the Writers Guild had framed the strike as being about something loftier than Hollywood — they were taking a stand, they argued, against the evils of capitalism. Some of that sentiment peppered the reaction to the denouement. In a post late Sunday on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, Billy Ray, whose credits include “Captain Phillips” and “Shattered Glass,” encouraged fellow writers to “stand with the actors” and workers everywhere. “That’s how we’ll save America.” WorkStudios and Writers Reached a Deal. Here’s What Happens Next. However, the deal with writers could provide a blueprint for negotiations on some concerns shared by actors. For example, both wanted aggressive guardrails around the use of A.I., with actors worried it could encroach on their livelihoods and be used to create digital replicas of their likenesses without payment or approval. I’m not even sure how to describe why but they look very natural and clean. It’s been a week of wearing two coats and there isn’t one bubble or lift forming on the edges. One coat actually looks great also. I am sold on this stuff... One primary criticism of the nuclear industry is that building reactors has come to require excessive time and money.
