⏰ HOW MUCH TIME DO WE HAVE LEFT?⏰
- It depends on how long it takes the county to validate all of our signatures.
- If we don't have enough, they'll give us a 10-day window to submit another batch of signatures.
- Last time they took 18 days, but we suspect they might move a little bit faster this time around.
- To hit our target of 4,000 raw signatures and provide cushion for rejected signatures, we need to collect another 1,700 signatures!
📝 SAVING SIGNATURES! 📝
- Can't make it down to Renton? Want to help out remotely? We have a plan for you!
- Signatures are invalidated because signatures don't match the voter file, signers weren't registered to vote, or a signer's signature expired!
- We have a team of volunteers contacting these folks and working with them to save those signatures!

📣DSA’s Midwest Electoral Surge📣 A National Solidarity Event
This Thursday, Sept 28
6 - 7pm
RSVP
We have an exciting solidarity event THIS THURSDAY AT 6 PM, September 28th, alongside Tacoma DSA, Portland DSA, Twin Cities DSA, and Central Indiana DSA, featuring 3 DSA members running for city council in Minneapolis and Indianapolis! DSA’s electoral strength is surging in Minneapolis, with five DSA-endorsed candidates running for election to the 13-member City Council. In Indianapolis, DSA is on the verge of electing its first City Councilmember.
🤔 What’s at stake? 🤔
This is a pivotal moment for socialists in Minneapolis. DSA could hold as many as 5! seats on city council if their slate wins this November - and would be part of a wider progressive majority in a city council that has been conservative, blocked rent control, and refused to hold the police accountable. This is also a crucial opportunity for us to learn and discuss the challenges and opportunities that will arise as many DSA chapters across the country are growing and maturing. Governing with a progressive majority will come with challenges and expectations of meeting the needs of working class people, on issues ranging from rent control to police funding. Come to talk to DSA candidates about pressing issues that can help inform our own work as a chapter in the coming years!
