Once again, House Republicans are playing with the economy to score political points, get media attention, and appease their most extremist supporters.

Congressional Republicans have proven time and time again that they can't be trusted with the American economy. They are deeply unserious and have no interest in governing to help American families.

House Republicans can’t settle on a plan, but I want to highlight some of the most egregious proposals they have:

*No funding for emergency relief after the fires in Hawaii and Louisiana, the flooding in Vermont, and Hurricane Idalia’s attack on Florida
*Cutting off aid to the Ukrainians in their fight for democracy
*Making major cuts to the FBI
*Cutting funding for healthcare that affects 65,000 children
*Slashing education funding
