Reproductive rights are under attack across the country.

This was especially apparent to me after visiting the Women’s Health Center in Hagerstown, where anti-abortion extremists were protesting.

But listen, calling what occurred that day a “protest” would be selling short the hate and vitriol that these extremists were shouting. Their goal wasn’t to protest, it was to intimidate and threaten individuals who made the personal choice of receiving an abortion.

I won’t accept that as the new normal, friends. It’s why I fought hard to defend reproductive rights in the House, and why it’s a staple issue of my campaign for Senate.

Maryland is lucky to have so many healthcare workers who provide reproductive care. I’m grateful to know a few of them and feature their story in a new video that lays out my stance on reproductive rights: we must immediately protect them under federal law.
