Hey Friend, I’m the only statewide elected official in
Georgia who trained at Atlanta’s current public safety complex.

I
know how rough it is from firsthand experience, and I know how badly
our law enforcement officers and first responders need a permanent,
world-class facility.

A bunch of mostly out-of-state radicals have
hijacked the narrative about the new training facility. Over the last
several months, I’ve done all I can to set the record straight.

Now, something else is happening: Georgia Democrat politicians are
trying to have it both ways. They say, “of course, we need new
facilities.” But they refuse to support the plan that’s in place.
Shocking, right? I think it’s pathetic. That kind of fence riding may
play well in DC, but it doesn’t here in Georgia.

eptember25hf   As I said on Friday, you either support LEOs
and first responders, or you don’t. Simple as that.

mount=3 If you agree, will you donate $3 to my campaign so we have the
means to continue setting the record straight?

The debate over a
police training center in Atlanta carries ramifications for the entire
state, because it’s a question of whether Georgia will continue to
support police, or if we’ll go the way of blue states that are seeing
record crime waves.

Thank you for any support you can give.

Commissioner John King got his start as a beat cop with the Atlanta
Police Department. He worked various assignments, including Red Dog and
Organized Crime, before joining the Doraville Police Department. Before
becoming Chief of Police, he served as a Detective and Deputy Chief.
During his 17 years as Police Chief, Commissioner King tackled
corruption, implemented community policing in at-risk neighborhoods,
and cracked down on gang violence through early intervention programs
at local schools.
In addition to his career in law enforcement,
Commissioner King spent four decades serving in the U.S. Army National
Guard — enlisting as a private and retiring as a major general.
He
deployed to Bosnia, Iraq, and Afghanistan — earning the Bronze Star
Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, El Salvador gold medal for achievement,
meritorious service medals, and a NATO award along the way.
Commissioner King retired from active duty in 2023.
As Georgia’s
Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner, Commissioner King has disrupted
the status quo, put Georgia families first, and held the powerful
accountable. He was appointed by Governor Brian Kemp in 2019 and
elected to a full term in 2022, making him Georgia’s first Hispanic
statewide elected official.
