John —
In just 24 hours, we’re going to close the books on one of the most important fundraising deadlines we’ve faced so far in this campaign.
But here’s the truth: We’re a little bit behind on hitting the goals that will allow us to run the kind of campaign it will take to give Mitch McConnell, Donald Trump, and Thom Tillis’ donor network a run for their money.
We only have until midnight tomorrow to catch up, and the only way we can is if as many folks like you as possible give whatever they can afford to make a meaningful difference. So, I’m asking:
Can I count on you to add a donation of $10 or more to our campaign before tomorrow’s end-of-month fundraising deadline? I wouldn’t ask if it wasn’t important.
Our campaign is a stark contrast to Senator Tillis’ campaign, which is propped up by corporate special interests pouring millions into his operation to save him and keep their grip on this Senate seat.
And when Donald Trump flies back into North Carolina (for the fourth time!) you better believe Tillis will be begging for his help.
John, don’t get fooled. Tillis is one of the most unpopular Senators in the country — and apparently, Trump and Washington Republicans don’t like his chances against me in November. That’s why they spent $3 million meddling in our election.
Meanwhile, I’m trying to do right by all the working people in North Carolina who deserve a voice in Washington. I’m refusing to accept a single donation from corporate PACs because I have something more powerful in my corner: folks like you, pitching in whatever you can, whenever you can. So, I’m asking:
Can you add your donation of $10 or more before tomorrow’s deadline and help us reach our goals? We can send a powerful message about the kind of people-centered campaign we’re running — but it all comes down to how you respond right now.
Thom Tillis is weak: We see it in the polls. We see it in his approval rating. And we see it in the energy from folks across this state who are ready for new leadership.
Together, we’re going to create the change North Carolina deserves. Thanks for everything.
