Hear that? It's the 'Sound of Freedom' falling on deaf ears
On Tuesday, September 13, 2023, a hearing was held by The House Homeland Security Committee : "An Unbearable Price: The Devastating Human Costs of the Biden-Mayorkas Border Crisis."

Republican committee members played disturbing scenes from the film, "Sound of Freedom." The blockbuster film is not intended to be entertaining cinematography. Its purpose is to raise awareness of the extent to which a growing and global network of cartel crime is sweeping millions of innocent children into a billion-dollar sex-trafficking slave trade.

The film is, first and foremost, a call to action.

Its producer, Tim Ballard, a former Department of Homeland Security Agent, does not want the film to be a one-and-done forgotten moment as evidenced by his testimony in the hearing. Neither should the American public.

Yet where is Congress in this call to action? Most of them are bickering and playing partisan politics as usual. They are so far, with too few exceptions, refusing once more to do the right thing and pass sensible immigration legislation and enforcement measures that would save millions of lives.

Tell your representatives in the House to stand firm in their push to include the great H.R. 2 provisions of the Secure the Border Act in any advancement to a vote for a Continuing Resolution (CR).

And!Tell your representatives in the Senate to pass Sen. Cruz's companion bill to H.R. 2, S.2824, also titled The Secure the Border Act

It is critical that we the American voters insist and demand so much better from our elected officials on immigration. Our six great solutions (that constitute a significant part of The Secure the Border Act) would not only stop most illegal migration to the US. It would also have a significant impact on disincentivizing so many people from sending their children willingly, even knowingly, into the clutches of cartel violence, abuse, and sometimes even death.
Founder and former president of NumbersUSA, Roy Beck, demonstrates in his timeless presentation the insignificant impact we make for most of the world's poor relative to the many negative impacts mass immigration has on this country's citizens, its wildlife, and even many of the newly-arriving immigrants themselves.

The US can find better ways to help people live peacefully and prosperously where they are, rather than "aiding and abetting" migrants to make the treacherous journey through the Darien jungle. The New York Times recently reported shocking discoveries of the many ways in which multiple residents in Latin America and Mexico, in addition to the cartel, profit, and prey, often on their very own country's citizens.
And in this New York Times revelation as well, US immigration policy has now become the grand enabler of child labor exploitation within our borders.

It sounds like something out of an earlier century. Tens of thousands of children in the U.S., spanning all 50 states, work full time, often on overnight shifts and in dangerous jobs. The adults in their communities -- including executives at major companies like Perdue Farms and Tyson Foods, whose slaughterhouses are cleaned by the young teenagers -- look the other way. Government officials, in state capitals and Washington, allow it to happen. --- Leonhardt, September 19, 2023

Is this how we want our democratic republic to set an example for "freedom" to the rest of the world? How is this compassionate??

The call for freedom is falling on mostly deaf ears in this country at every level of government, not just in Congress.

Consider the call for more federal tax-payer spending by New York City Mayor Adams. Consider how he speaks the "truth" in his frustrated expressions of "This will destroy New York City."

Yet, even with New York's residents in full revolt, is Mayor Adams or Governor Hochul calling for less immigration? No. The Governor instead is sending the message to migrants to "Go Somewhere Else." , that is, in the US as long as it isn't in their proverbial "back yard."

"The hypocrisy of Mayor Adams is astounding" says Texas Governor Abbot's press secretary.

The more your voices are added to the growing call for the Sound of Freedom, not just for the victims of the organized slave trade, but also for our rights and freedoms as Americans, the more deafening the noise we can make to demand justice and respect from our elected members in government to do what we have sent them to Washington to do, stop the hypocrisy and fix our broken immigration system!

As always, thank you for your relentless support and activism.
