Dear John:

The spending in Washington, and especially from the Biden Administration over the last few years, is hurting families across Minnesota's 7th District and across this entire country. Inflation has skyrocketed while wages have fallen, forcing people to make hard decisions about where to spend their money.

It is time for Congress to do the same.

It is time for us to get serious about getting our fiscal house in order for the sake of generations figuring out how they are going put food on the table, generations figuring out how they are going to retire, and for the sake of the generations to come.

Somehow, despite ample evidence to the contrary, some of my colleagues still think that we can somehow spend our way out of debt. With Republicans in the Majority, it is our opportunity and responsibility to make a change. The House Budget Committee has introduced a budget that gives us a roadmap to reverse Washington's spending curse. House Republicans are committed to getting serious, honest, and realistic about where we can and need to cut spending to balance this country's budget and work our way out of debt. You can watch my full remarks during the Committee markup here.

Impeachment Inquiry Into President Joe Biden

Since taking the majority, House Republicans have been committed to holding the federal government accountable. Thanks to the hard work of several committees, including the Ways and Means Committee, we have heard enough to be gravely concerned about the President's alleged conduct. The American people deserve to know all the facts. This month, the House took the next logical step: opening a formal impeachment inquiry. This will allow our committees to supercharge their investigative abilities. I trust that our committees will conduct a thorough review, ensuring we leave no stone unturned.

Ag Groups in D.C.

We have had a number of ag groups come out to D.C. this month. These producers are key to sustaining this nation, literally feeding the country, and I always enjoy hearing what they have been working on, and what Congress can do to support their work.

Minnesota National Air Guard to Receive New "Super Hercules" Cargo Planes

Minnesota is deeply proud of the 133rd Airlift Wing. Their performance and readiness capabilities are among the best in the nation. This year, the entire Minnesota delegation worked together to upgrade their cargo aircraft, replacing the decades-old C-130H aircrafts with the new C-130J, one of four Air National Guard locations in the country to receive the new planes. I am proud to be part of the delegation that supported the Wing in their efforts to continue to grow in their abilities to serve and defend.

Thanks for reading!

As always, my office is open and ready to serve constituents of Minnesota's Seventh Congressional District! Please do not hesitate to get in touch if there is anything I can do to help. Have a great week!

Sincerely,
