We need to talk about what happened this weekend:

-- A white supremacist terrorist killed at least 22 people and wounded two dozen in a mass shooting at a Walmart in El Paso, Texas.
-- Less than 24 hours later, a mass shooting in Dayton, Ohio, left another nine dead and over 20 injured.
-- There were two mass shootings in less than three hours in Chicago on Sunday.

The vast majority of Americans want common sense gun laws. Over 90% of Americans want to pass background checks. Yet Trump, Mitch McConnell, and Republicans won't do anything about it because they're standing with the NRA.

And they're able to get away with it because they've gerrymandered maps, and suppressed voters to the point that they don't have to listen to the people.

But listen, we're standing with the people who are fighting for real gun reform. And we're fighting to reform our democracy for good.

We'll be blunt: To pass real gun reform we have to fix our democracy.

Republicans have gerrymandered their districts so they can hold onto their seats. They can do whatever they wish, without listening to the will of the people.

So when 90% of Americans want to pass real, common sense gun reform, Republicans can listen to the will of the NRA with no consequences.

We have to fix that.

We have to have fair maps over gerrymandered maps. We have to have politicians who listen to the people, instead of the NRA.
