We are thrilled to announce our September speaker, Young Republican and OCYR 2022 Candidate of the Year, Assemblywoman Kate Sanchez!
Assemblywoman Sanchez is a trailblazer and long time friend of the Young Republicans, serving on the California Young Republican Federation Executive Board and previously as the Executive Director of the California Women’s Leadership Association. Now she is in Sacramento, serving as a taxpayer advocate, fighting for parental rights and being a leading voice for local control.
Joining us on Monday will be our friend, and long time supporter, Aliso Viejo Councilman Mike Munzing, and the wonderful, and newly elected, San Clemente Councilman Victor Cabral!

CAGOP Fall Convention
It's convention season, and we are happy to welcome leaders of our party from all over the state to the greatest county in the world!
Join us at the CAGOP Convention on September 29th to October 1st at the Anaheim Marriott!
With the primaries coming in hot, don't miss the chance to join your fellow YRs in meeting some of the leading party activists in the state, attend helpful panels and workshops, and join us for some of our evening socials and receptions.
There will also be special dinners and luncheons at added cost featuring presidential candidates coming to Orange County, including President Donald Trump, Governor Ron DeSantis, Senator Tim Scott, and Vivek Ramaswamy.
We will also have our California Young Republicans meeting on Saturday afternoon, where we will elect the board for the upcoming two year term. We are proud to have four of our members running for state board positions, so please be sure to stop by and show your support!
OCYR will also be cohosting two evening mixers during convention. We will take part in the welcome reception Friday night along with the OCGOP, and we will be working with our friends in the CYRF on the CYRF evening mixer on Saturday night! Come hang out with us and enjoy the grand old party!

Guided by the eternal truth that there is no such thing as an off year in politics, the OCYRs are committed to building a culture of political and civic engagement no matter the season. OCYR Engage is our civic engagement program designed to encourage civic participation through attending public meetings and driving the public discourse through Op-eds and Letters to the Editor.
If we want to make an impact in our country, state, and community, it's critical that we understand how our civic government works and that we support the Republican movement beyond just elections.
