Dispersion Statistics on ProductivityÂ
On Tuesday, September 26, the U.S. Census Bureau and the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics will release a new version of the experimental data product, Dispersion Statistics on Productivity (DiSP). DiSP provides information on the within-industry dispersion in productivity at the 4-digit NAICS level for the manufacturing sector. The new version of the DiSP data covers years 1987 to 2020.Â

2021 Business Dynamics Statistics
On Thursday, September 28, the Census Bureau will release the 2021 Business Dynamics Statistics (BDS) data in the Census API, data.census.gov, in CSV format on the BDS website, and BDS Explorer. The BDS is an annual time-series â covering the years 1978 to 2021 â and provides measures of business dynamics (such as job creation and destruction, establishment births and deaths, and firm startups and shutdowns) for the economy, aggregated by establishment and firm characteristics.

New from the 2020 Census: Data for Nearly 1,500 Detailed Race and Ethnicity Groups, Tribes and Villages [ [link removed] ]
On September 21, the Census Bureau released 2020 Census population counts and sex-by-age statistics for 300 detailed race and ethnic groups, as well as 1,187 detailed American Indian and Alaska Native tribes and villages.
