We congratulate Rep. Daniel Perez on his designation as the next Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives! Speaker-Designate Perez is a Young Republican representing House district 116, encompassing Westchester, Sweetwater, and a part of Kendall. He will preside over the FL House in the 2025-26 legislative sessions.
We are excited for the great things that will be achieved under his leadership and look forward to continuing to work with him to make Florida the model for the nation.
The Designation Ceremony occurred on September 18th, 2023 at the Florida Capitol in Tallahassee.

JMI TECH SUMMIT
The Miami Young Republicans were thrilled to participate in the James Madison Institute 2023 Tech and Innovation Summit to discuss federal and state policy issues, such as broadband deployment, data privacy, edtech, cybersecurity, and innovation.
Our very own Rep. David Borrero participated in a panel discussion titled "Innovating in Times of Crisis". We thank Bob McClure and Sal Nuzzo from the James Madison Institute for hosting us.
