It’s officially the season of maple (which is the ONLY acceptable Fall flavor- fight me, PSL’ers), pumpkin patches, and telling your shitty legislators just how much you can’t stand them! Good thing we have our ‘Literally No One Asked You’ postcards available for our friends in Ohio to lean into the reason for the season.

WHEN CARE IS CRIMINALIZED
Because really- when you read that the Nebraskan mother who helped her daughter obtain abortion pills was sentenced to TWO YEARS IN PRISON, how can you not be enraged?? The laws enacted by immoral politicians do exactly what we’ve been saying all along- remove the option of abortion care from those who need it, and force them into unsafe scenarios. It’s almost like they don’t care…

NOBODY LIKES THE ANTI-ABORTION KOOL-AID MAN
The anti-abortion movement is violent, whether that violence is removing access to thousands upon thousands of people or it’s literally driving a car into a Planned Parenthood and trying to set it on fire. At the very least, we can be glad that this evil genius managed to get himself stuck in the car after ramming into the clinic, and will potentially face 5-20 years in prison and up to a $250k fine. Maybe people will listen to us now?

OHIO: SHOW LOVE, PRACTICALLY
Abortion is only accessible when patients are literally able to access it- that’s where Ohio Women’s Alliance’s Member Assistance Program (MAP) comes in! If you’d like to learn how to volunteer for MAP by staffing a warm line, dropping off meals, or transporting people seeking abortion care to their appointments, tune in to their Volunteer Information Session TOMORROW on Tuesday, September 26th, from 6 PM to 8 PM ET- registration link here!

KENTUCKY ABORTION DERBY: RACE TO VOLUNTEER
Abortion seekers everywhere, in all states, need help getting to their appointment, and Kentucky Health Justice Network is ready to bring on more Kentuckians for support! Whether you’d like to volunteer as a driver or hotliner, KHJN will be holding their next round of trainings in October- registration link here!
