It has been a busy two weeks back in session. Thank you for following along on my journey in Congress. I am committed to representing the great patriots of Texas' Thirteenth Congressional District here in Washington. Before government funding runs out on October 1st, I am working on finding a solution that funds the government while also holding the corrupt Biden Administration accountable and addressing the crisis at the southern border.

Defunding Disinformation Boards

I am committed to upholding our fundamental constitutional rights, including free speech. We must put an end to the Biden Administration's efforts to silence viewpoints that don't fit their radical agenda. Last week, I joined forces with Congressman August Pfluger and Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene to introduce legislation to defund the Biden Administration's "Disinformation Governance Board" at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). This legislation will prohibit the DHS from forming another disinformation board and seeks to redirect the agency to refocus its priorities on homeland security, not controlling what they deem as "disinformation." NDAA Floor Debate

The radical Democrats in the House were dead set last week on overturning my amendment in the Fiscal Year 2024 National Defense Authorization Act to block the DoD’s illegal policy of taxpayer-funded abortions in the military. Thankfully, that did not happen. I will never waiver in my defense of the unborn and my support for the rule of law! You can catch my remarks on the floor below.

Additionally, I was appointed by Speaker Kevin McCarthy to serve as a core conferee of the House-Senate Conference Committee tasked with reconciling the differences and ensuring successful passage of the FY2024 NDAA.

Earlier in September, I joined Chris Salcedo on Newsmax to express my thoughts on the impeachment inquiry. President Biden is a crook, and I remain committed to revealing the truth about the most corrupt president in our history! Protecting Gas-Powered Cars

Earlier this month, the house voted on the Preserving Choice in Vehicle Purchases Act. We must stop California and Biden from dictating what cars Americans can buy. Their radical green agenda is handing China the keys to our energy and auto future which will hurt our economy and violates our freedom! Congressional Democrats want to force you to spend upwards of $60,000 for electric vehicles that have horrible driving ranges paired with a very weak charging infrastructure! We stopped the radical democrats for now, but the fight will continue!

Plains Cotton Growers

Thank you to Plains Cotton Growers for meeting with me in DC earlier this month to discuss your priorities and concerns for the upcoming Farm Bill. TX-13 is the #2 cotton producing district in the country, and I appreciate your hard work and dedication in keeping the cotton industry strong!

Texans for Strong Borders

Thank you to Texans for Strong Borders for meeting with me last week. You are doing God’s work in fighting against the open border policies of the Biden Administration that’s allowing this invasion to happen. I am with you and keep fighting!
