From mountain peak to the ocean deep

Over the last year, we released 10 New Perspectives bursary projects created by young people in National Parks across England and Wales.

We’ve been blown away by the creativity and passion for National Parks from our bursary winners; from films and photographs to printed-media articles and booklets, there is power in sharing different stories from young voices and under-represented groups.

A FUTURE FOR MARINE NATIONAL PARKS

We were delighted to host a Parliamentary event earlier this month championing Marine National Parks, in partnership with Blue Marine Foundation.

National Marine Parks have so much to offer in supporting local communities and nature, and we were delighted with the level of interest. We’re now calling on the political parties to back National Marine Parks at the next election.

PROTECTING PARKS FROM PLANNING PANDEMONIUM

We brought together a coalition of 13 organisations to write to the Secretary of State Michael Gove, demonstrating the strength of opposition to proposals to allow the unplanned conversion of rural buildings.

We’re calling for Government to exempt Protected Landscapes as they did when we campaigned and won for similar measures first proposed a decade ago.
