Friend, what a month it’s been.
Mitch McConnell bragged on TV about all the bipartisan bills he’s blocking in the Senate and refused to uphold his constitutional duty to hold a fair trial. Hundreds of you wrote in to share your struggles with issues like health care. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
February has been a reminder that it’s on all of us to step up and fight for our democracy.
The great news is, in a democracy, you can replace your leaders when they fail you—and that notion is powering us as we face down tomorrow’s fundraising deadline.
Nothing in a democracy can be taken for granted. I suspect that’s why a lot of us are part of this effort. So let’s give Mitch an extra strong reminder of what he’s up against.
