Team,
In just a few days, we’re up against our final end-of-quarter deadline before the upcoming fall elections – which include a ballot measure that could have a monumental impact on the fate of reproductive rights in Ohio.
I’m reaching out today to ask you to chip in to help us reach our end-of-quarter fundraising goal before Saturday’s deadline – but first, I’d like to take a moment to tell you why.
It’s no secret that out-of-touch Republican politicians in Ohio are willing to go to any ends to protect their own political power, and to pursue their extremist agenda at the expense of Ohio voters or our interests.
Already this year – after seeing the response across the country whenever voters get a chance to weigh in directly on reproductive rights – they tried to change the rules in order to make it harder for us to pass a ballot measure protecting abortion and the full range of reproductive care.
They’ve also presented unconstitutional district maps rigged heavily towards Republicans, including a new set just this week.
They’re not playing by the rules, because they know if they do, they can’t win. Ohio is a pro-choice state. It’s a state where we believe in the fundamental tenets of democracy, including that our voices and our votes should count equally. It’s also a state where we believe that government should work for us and put the interests of working Ohioans and our families first.
These aren’t the values of today’s Republican party. Which is exactly why we need to defeat them at the ballot box.
We’re hard at work to do exactly that – but with Saturday’s deadline looming fast, we need to make sure we’re in the position to reach voters in every corner of the state ahead of November’s elections. Can you rush a donation right now?
Thank you for being part of this team,
Liz Walters

A reproductive rights initiative is on the Ohio ballot this November. Can Ohio Democrats count on you to chip in $5, $10, or whatever you can to help fuel our fight to protect reproductive rights in our state constitution? →
