Just taking a minute today to share some thoughts about my campaign launch.
This campaign means so much to me because stepping up and doing the right thing — even when it’s difficult — is a value that’s been in my family for generations.
I grew up here in the mountains of Northern Carmichael; my family has been here for five generations. My great-grandma Edith actually manned the telegraph booth at Donner Pass with a pistol by her side.
That kind of bravery and commitment to service runs deep in my family — and our NorCal community. My parents inspired me to continue their legacy of service to our community.
I knew it was time to step up because our community deserves so much more than Kevin Kiley. He divides us. He is more invested in far-right conspiracy theories than the well-being of our community, and I knew it was my time to step up to serve my community.
But this campaign won’t be easy. Kiley will have access to deep MAGA pockets who want to keep GOP dysfunction in the House — the same kind of bad governance that’s plummeting us closer and closer to a government shutdown.
That’s why I’m so glad to have you by my side. If you can, please chip in $20
