John—there is less than one week until the government shuts down if Republicans don’t get their act together and come to a deal.

But what are they doing instead? Opening a baseless impeachment inquiry, trying to ram through an extremist agenda that doesn't stand a chance in the Senate, and considering a vote to oust House Speaker McCarthy.

MAGA Republicans in Congress are ready to take down working Americans and the entire economy if they don’t get their way—and Mike Lawler and the Republican establishment have no one to blame but themselves.

Mike Lawler fanned the flames of impeachment: he voted for House Speaker McCarthy and he votes with his extreme MAGA buddies in Congress the vast majority of the time. Now, the MAGA chickens are coming home to roost.

The only way out of this mess is retaking our House majority and stripping the GOP of its power. I’m ready to fight tooth and nail to make it happen, but I’ll need you in the fight with me.

Let’s be clear, Mike Lawler and members of Congress will still get paid in the event of a shutdown. They don’t have to worry about how they’ll pay their bills, put food on the table, or keep their lights on.

But millions of government workers and contractors, including folks who live right here in the 17th district, won’t be so lucky. Many will be forced to work without a paycheck, while veterans and folks on government assistance could see delays in their benefits. National Parks could shut down, food inspections could cease, and government inspections would be suspended, putting countless workers in harm's way.

Mike Lawler and the GOP are gambling with our future, and I have seen enough. It couldn’t be more urgent to take back our House majority and fire every single member of the GOP who’s willing to use the lives of working Americans as a poker chip.
