It’s hard to believe that it’s already been around a month since I launched my campaign for the U.S. Senate here in Florida. It’s been a whirlwind of meeting voters, hearing from supporters like you, and spreading our message of progress and unity.
Now, we’re rapidly approaching our first end-of-quarter deadline. This is the biggest moment of our campaign yet. Our fundraising numbers are about to become public for the first time — and all eyes will be on us.
This is our chance to prove the strength of our movement to Rick Scott, the pundits, the GOP’s megadonors, and the people of Florida. That’s why I’ve set an ambitious $350,000 goal — and I’m counting on your help to hit it. As I look back on these past few weeks, I’m filled with so much gratitude for supporters like you. But I also have to be realistic about what we’re up against here.
Rick Scott and his far-right megadonors are prepared to launch even more attacks against our campaign. And if they see any sign of weakness in our public fundraising numbers, they won’t hesitate to destroy our momentum.
I’m in this race to fight for the issues that matter to families like yours — protecting Social Security and Medicare, ending gun violence, restoring reproductive rights, strengthening voting rights, and more. I promise you that I will always have your back in Washington. But today, I need you to have mine.
