At Win the Era, we believe the shape of our democracy is the issue that affects every other issue. We may not always like an election's outcome, but we must accept it, win or lose. That's how our country moves forward together. 

Justice Janet Protasiewicz was recently elected to the Wisconsin Supreme Court in a hotly contested race. Win the Era was proud to support Justice Janet. Her victory gave Democrats the majority at a time when cases related to reproductive freedom and voting rights could appear before the court.

Despite Justice Janet's overwhelming 11-point margin of victory, some in the Wisconsin GOP have floated the idea of impeaching her in recent weeks. There's no cause for doing so. No scandal. No ethical violation. Legal experts say impeachment would violate the Wisconsin constitution. 

So why are we sounding the alarm? The fact is, Republicans control the Wisconsin State Legislature because it's one of the most gerrymandered in the country. Their actions on impeachment are anti-democratic, and they have to be held accountable. 

That's where you come in. 

In 2024, the road to defending democracy starts in Wisconsin. To do your part, will you split a contribution between the Democratic Party of Wisconsin and Win the Era today? Thanks to you, they made history by flipping the Wisconsin Supreme Court. We can do it again in 2024, but it will take us all stepping up once again.
