It’s Sarah here, Senior Campaign Advisor here at Scholten HQ. I wanted to update you on our upcoming FEC fundraising deadline on September 30th.

Every three months, we assess how much money we need to raise to make sure we can run a winning campaign in 2024. These totals are painstakingly calculated based on the fundraising numbers of our opponents, our staffing needs on the ground, and how much we will have to spend to get Hillary’s message out in this upcoming year. The current three-month period, the quarter, is ending soon, and we are falling a little behind.

The reality of running a robust campaign in a district as competitive as MI-03 is that you have to have a lot of money to win. With three Republican opponents, we have to raise more than ever to be ready to beat any of them. Whichever Republican candidate wins the primary will have the full backing of national Republican groups and, with them, a massive stack of cash to use to win.

On the other hand, Hillary's campaign will have her grassroots network's support to win. That’s why your contribution is so significant. We need to reach our goals to stay competitive, and being competitive is more expensive than ever as national Republican groups begin to invest later this cycle.
