This week, GOP Senator Steve Daines sat in on a secret briefing from Donald Trump’s campaign manager. Here’s what he said after about the GOP plan to hold onto the White House and Senate in 2020:

“They are more than ready for 2020. They’re going to be expanding the map.”

Daines has been preparing for re-election since the moment he was sworn in -- he certainly hasn’t been spending his time thinking about how to solve the problems that matter to Montana. That means we have to some catching up to do, team:

All of his time working on his re-election instead of for Montanans has paid off -- for him -- Daines already has $5 million in the bank for this fight. We know we might be outspent -- but we have to raise enough money to wage a strong and efficient campaign that can get our message out.
