GET THE FACTS: Terror on the Border

As I’m sure you have seen in the media, the surge of migrants at our Southern Border has gotten out of control with thousands coming in each and every day. Due to this surge, we are often unable to properly vet the people coming across and keep Americans safe. Former Border Patrol Chief, Rodney Scott, even had this to say: “Overwhelmed officers and agents no longer have time to conduct meaningful interviews. Border Patrol is overwhelmed with illegal aliens from several countries that are known to be affiliated with terrorism, but those agents cannot get timely language translation to conduct the most basic processing.” We have already seen multiple cases this year of migrants with ties to terrorist organizations and as long as President Biden refuses to secure the border, this is likely to continue.

Around the District

Tyler and Ashley from our District Office visited The Giving Closet at Barry Goldwater High School. The Giving Closet provides essential clothing and hygiene items to students in need. We are proud of these efforts!

Ashley and Tyler from our District Office attended Glendale Police Department’s ‘Coffee with a Cop’ event this month. The officers shared information on community issues with residents in attendance. We are grateful for all law enforcement in Arizona's 8th district!

Casework Highlight

A constituent contacted our office because she was unable to have Medicare fix her incorrect Part B enrollment date. This error would cause a gap in her medical coverage and jeopardize her ability to get medical care. Our district office contacted Medicare and corrected the constituent’s enrollment date which resulted in continuing medical care.
