Governor Greg Abbott's Operation Lone Star is as cruel as it is unAmerican. Border security is certainly important for our country, but I refuse to let him get away with treating migrants as less than human.

That's why I'm leading a delegation of 87 members of Congress, along with every Texas Democrat, to speak out against Abbott's cruelty, including pushing migrant babies back into the Rio Grande River, illegally failing to alert federal officials about asylum claims, installing razor wire and floating barriers that increase the risk of drowning, and more.

History has shown us how dark it can get when people allow cruelty against "the others" to go unchecked, and we all have a moral responsibility to speak out. That's why I need your help.

Can I count on you to support me in this fight against Abbott's dehumanization of migrants? Please pitch in $10 here to help me close my $24,529 budget gap before we have to report our numbers to the FEC publicly!

Greg Abbott is watching our results closely, and we need to send him an unmistakable message that there are consequences to his unAmerican cruelty.

Abbott thinks he can get away with violating federal law and is playing to the most racist and cruel currents within the Republican Party.

The truth is this: Cruelty to others should be universally condemned, no matter what party the perpetrator belongs to.

If we don't stand against Abbott's attacks on human rights, the situation could deteriorate fast, and more innocent people will die.

Please donate $10 here before we need to report our numbers to the FEC at the end of September. If we miss our budget goal, Abbott will be emboldened in his cruelty, and we can't afford for that to happen.
