This week, I had the honor of being invited on Hugh Hewitt’s show. One of the things we talked about was the memo that leaked this week that my campaign manager, Jennifer, had sent to our Executive Finance Committee.
Hugh asked me, “She said, everyone calm down. Senator Scott is not leaving the stage. He's gonna stay in this for the duration. We're going to stay positive, positive state it, it wins in the long course. What did you think of the reaction to her memo? Is she right?”
Here’s the truth – our country and party are desperate for a leader with an optimistic and positive message, rooted in conservatism, with a backbone.
America has always prospered when the conservative party is anchored in principle.
One of the blessings of my young life was having Ronald Reagan come on the scene right after the Carter debacle. I was a freshman in high school. Unemployment rates in my North Charleston neighborhood were 30% under Carter.
Ronald Reagan brought a revolution and optimistic vision, and we've not seen that since those days.
I’m running for president to restore those consistently conservative values and it starts with faith in God, faith in each other and faith in America.
Our country’s future is bright, and I’ll need your support to help guarantee that every little kid who grows up in a zip code like the one I grew up in has the same opportunity and chances to achieve their American dreams.
Please, if you can, would you consider chipping in to my campaign? I know times are tough and a lot of families already feel stretched thin, so if you can’t donate, that’s ok! Just knowing I have your support will be critical in the weeks and months ahead.

God bless you, John, and thanks for your support. I won’t be able to do this without you. |
