Friend, today is Celebrate Bisexuality+ Day — a day meant to promote cultural acceptance and advocacy for the bisexual+ community.

Sue Cardenas-Soto (they/them) opens the conversation about bisexuality and multisexuality in our latest blog, “On the Vibrancy of Bisexuality and the Queer Umbrella. ([link removed]) ” A survey conducted by the CDC found that 75% of young people identify as lesbian, gay, or bisexual – and in their friend group, that rings incredibly true.

Using Robyn Ochs’ definition of bisexuality — the potential to be attracted, romantically and/or sexually, to people of more than one gender — they call out the need for each of us to celebrate the beauty of queerness and the uniqueness of each person’s identity. And while multisexuality is a spectrum of terms, the most important ones are those that make the person feel most comfortable.

Check out Sue’s blog to learn more about what it’s like to be part of the bisexual+ community. Then, we hope you’ll take time to celebrate the bisexual+ community today… and every day!
