WomenHeart released a new PSA that raises awareness of heart disease in women and promotes the work of WomenHeart. Featuring WomenHeart Champion darlene scott, the PSA was supported by Pfizer and ran nationally during the February 27 episode of the daytime talk show The Real.

On February 27, Representative Joyce Beatty (D-OH), Co-Chair of the Congressional Heart and Stroke Coalition, introduced H. Res. 873, a resolution recognizing the importance of prevention, detection and treatment for African-American women with heart disease and diabetes. The bill recognizes the important work of WomenHeart and our partner organization, Black Women’s Health Imperative. Take action now to support this resolution.

Introduction of this bill caps off a successful #29DaysofHeart social media campaign recognizing both Black History Month and Heart Month.

Yesenia Hidden RiskHidden Risk Campaign
Bayer launched the #YourHiddenRisk campaign with WomenHeart Champions Yesenia Araujo and Agnes Czuchlewski. Read about WomenHeart CEO Celina Gorre’s experience at the campaign launch event in New York City and click here to learn how selfies can generate funding support to WomenHeart. The campaign runs until March 12, 2020.
2020 Wenger (no woman)Wenger Awards Tickets on Sale
Tickets for the 2020 Wenger Awards are now on sale. This annual event highlights excellence in women’s heart disease, including research, practice, advocacy and communication. The dinner will be held May 18 at the InterContinental Hotel at the Wharf in Washington, DC.
