Did you see this message from Mary Gay? The Chaos Caucus just struck again and this time we’re all in danger. Kevin McCarthy has completely lost control and is letting the most irresponsible GOP members run roughshod over the American people.

Even while holding the majority in Congress, the GOP couldn’t pass a vote on their own spending bill. We’re just one week out from a government shutdown and they sent their members home to enjoy a long weekend of fundraisers and golf tournaments. It’s infuriating.

We were elected to do the business of the American people, to do our jobs, legislate, and uphold and defend the Constitution. The fact that some of my colleagues on the right are more interested in playing partisan games than ensuring that our government stays open is shameful.

Between funding for disaster relief and federal programs, millions of Americans including seniors, children, and veterans will be impacted by the shutdown because the Chaos Caucus cares more about their time in the spotlight than the wellbeing of our people.
