Pray for the IJM Uganda team and partners as we work together to ensure that there are safe houses and shelters for victims of domestic and sexual violence. Having these safe spaces for victims to go to is critical for protecting victims who choose to report violence and pursue justice. Pray as we work together to assess the shelters available for victims in Uganda and what may be needed to provide adequate care.
Latin America
Praise God for a workshop about self-care of mental health that IJM Bolivia and its partner Enda El Alto provided to the National Service of Assistance to Victims. Both sessions allowed professionals to learn and discuss how empathy in the treatment of vulnerable populations can make a real change in people’s lives. Please pray that God will supply these professionals with the skills, love and encouraging words to assist those who need hope and justice.
South Asia
Please pray for our recruitment and hiring across South Asia! We are excited to be expanding many of our programs and growing in new areas, and now we really need the right people to join our team. Pray God would lead the right women and men to join the team so we can help rescue thousands more from human trafficking.
Asia Pacific
Praise God for an opportunity to engage with new audiences at the ReThink HK Sustainability Business Forum in Hong Kong! Andrey Sawchenko, our Regional Vice President in IJM Asia Pacific, spoke about protecting workers from forced labor slavery, including ways to measure impact, the role of governments and business, and examples from our work. We are so grateful for this open door, and we continue to pray for more opportunities to talk about our work!

Praise God for granting IJM an opportunity to address the US Congress.
Vanessa Bautista, a survivor, and John Tanagho, an IJM staff member, recently delivered compelling testimonies before the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime and Federal Government Surveillance. In front of over a dozen congressional representatives, Vanessa and John explained the issue of online sexual exploitation of children and advocated for solutions that Congress can enact. We pray that the impact of their powerful testimonies resonates in the hearts and minds of those who heard them, further advancing the mission of protecting vulnerable children from this heinous crime.
