John,
I’m honored to work alongside progressive movement leader Rep. Delia Ramirez in Congress.
Delia is not only the first Latina serving in Congress from the Midwest. She’s also the only member of Congress in a mixed-immigration-status family.
Her husband is a Dreamer, a DACA recipient whose ability to live and work in the U.S. is under threat as right-wing federal judges attack the DACA program. With a deep understanding of how urgently Congress must act, Delia is leading legislation to keep families together and protect immigrants from deportation.
Delia has taken politically courageous stands to champion human rights for all—including honoring the humanity of Palestinians.
That’s risky for a first-term Congresswoman, because AIPAC’s pro-apartheid network of PACs will very likely spend millions to try to defeat her in 2024’s re-election. Can you join me in having her back?
Please split a donation today between Rep. Delia Ramirez’s and my 2024 re-election campaigns. Delia is a bold champion for human rights and justice, who’s moving with the urgency we need. Let’s have her back and keep her in Congress fighting for marginalized people!
While in the Illinois State House, Delia expanded Medicaid coverage for state residents regardless of immigration status. And she led on housing justice for all as a grassroots organizer in Chicago.
Delia is deeply rooted in her community and has set up a strong constituent services program to support residents through everyday challenges. Like me, she prioritizes this essential part of public service—in addition to pushing for the transformative policies our communities need.
Together we’ve introduced legislation to protect restaurant workers as well as a bill to expand veterans’ health care providers by welcoming health care professionals who are immigrants to care for them.
As the Vice Ranking Member of the Homeland Security Committee, Delia is also calling for expedited work permits so asylum seekers and our undocumented neighbors can stay here without fear. She has successfully pushed the Biden administration to protect more immigrants who are fleeing their countries, by extending the time period for more people to apply for Temporary Protected Status.
We need Delia in Congress to keep leading on immigration reform and pushing Democrats to act with urgency.
Delia overcame heavy spending from billionaire-funded PACs in 2022 during her first election to Congress. Now that she’s among the boldest progressives in Congress, she’s sure to face more attacks from those who want to maintain the unjust status quo.
As we near an important end-of-quarter fundraising deadline for 2024’s re-election, please chip in $5
or more today to send me and Rep. Delia Ramirez back to Congress.
